Top 5 Ways to Win Your Bunny's Heart
Rest assured the following list is compiled by trial and error in the fire of owning 15-24 bunnies. See, for every additional bunny you have after the first one, you face challenges in the form of jealousy, competition, lack of time, lack of resources, etc.. These are proven methods, so surely a few will work for you!
Top 5 Ways to Win Your Bunny's Heart
1. Banana This will forever tip the scales in your favor. If you say your bunny doesn't like banana, then it probably needs to try it a few more times. Sometimes they have to get past the smell. Alternately, your bunny could just be an outlier. Most bunnies will lose all the dignity they are fronting at the first sign of this yellow fruit. Use it wisely, and sparingly.
2. Humor Its Belief in its Superiority to You If you have successfully made your bunny feel safe and loved, the attitude is sure to follow. In the nicer bunnies it's subtle - a quick drop of the head when you approach (for those who don't know, this is bunny language for - I'm better than you, so groom me). In bunnies like The Player, this is often signaled with stomping when your behavior is deemed less than admirable. Regardless, let your bunny continue in its delusion. It will be nicer and more fun to be around. And really, what's it to you?
3. Hanging Out Together Bunnies love sharing YOUR quality time. You can do this in a variety ways. You can put a pillow next to you, or on your lap when you watch T. V. and pet your bunny. You can lay on the floor and read a magazine and let your bunny hop around you, sit on your magazine and generally bother you for a while. You can play hide and seek, but be aware that bunnies are easily distracted unless you hold banana in front of their face and then run away from them. An easy way would be to just spend 10 minutes with your bunny when you get home from work or before you go to bed.
4. Figure Out How Your Bunny Likes to be Pet Every bunny is different. Some bunnies love having their nose rubbed. Other prefer cheek rubs. Some only like short pets from forehead to neck. Some like to be pet from the tip of their nose, all the way down their back. Some bunnies barely like to be pet at all. It's pretty individual, but you will know, because if your bunny likes what you are doing, it will grind. If it doesn't, it will jump out of the way.
5. Shower Your Bunny with Gifts This is pretty easy, and not nearly as expensive as it sounds. Bunny gifts can be: paper towel tubes, brown packaging paper, boxes, pillows, tiny blankets, pine cones, willow sticks, balls, cardboard, or a stuffed animal.
